We are thrilled to report the successful release of a beautiful sailfish, accompanied by an impressive catch of amberjack, weighing at least 80 pounds. The amberjack proved to be a formidable opponent, engaging us in a prolonged battle lasting over an hour. It is worth noting that both fish were caught using JYG Profishing poles with 140 gram jygs, an exceptionally light tackle for such a catch. Yesterday’s fishing excursion was exceptionally productive, yielding two sailfish that were released unharmed. We enjoyed a delightful dinner and sunset cruise last night with colleagues from Riverbend, navigating southward past PGA Boulevard via the Intracoastal, then proceeding north to the Jupiter Inlet, where we shared historical anecdotes, followed by a visit to the Tiger Sandbar, and culminating in dinner at Tiki 52, truly a memorable evening on the water. I spent the day fishing with friends who had family visiting from out of town. At the 200-foot mark outside of Jupiter, we discovered a dense weed patch. With quicker reflexes, we would have landed a dozen fish. The Mahi were plentiful, aggressively biting the live bait. We caught four, with three being sizable enough to keep. We then battled a large Bonita on JYG Profishing, which, although not a keeper, put up a thrilling fight. As we were wrapping up, our last bait was bitten, and after a thirty-minute fight, the fish broke the line and escaped. Our gear from Fishing Headquarters proved to be reliable.
